Introduction of U-wide and College Exchange Programmes (2017–18)

The College organised an introduction session on exchange programmes on 18 October 2016 for the 2017–18 academic year.

The session was well received, with over 30 students participating. Participants learnt about College and U-wide Exchange Programmes respectively through the introduction by Prof King Ngan, Chair of the College's External Links and Exchange Committee, and by a staff member from the Office of Academic Links.

Three students shared their exchange experience. Miss YEE Sye Ying (Year 3) and Miss ZHOU Yuchun (Year 5) talked about their studies and journey during their exchange programmes at the University of Melbourne (Australia) and Aarhus University (Denmark) respectively. Miss Murong Tina LI, herself an incoming exchange student from Brandeis University (USA), inspired the audience with many stunning photos of her home university and the stories behind them.

CUHK Alumni Homecoming 2016

The CUHK Alumni Homecoming 2016 held on 26 November attracted many alumni to come back to their alma mater with families and friends.

The College set up a carnival game booth at the University Mall, attracting many visitors despite the bad weather.

Sign Language Workshop

Resident tutor Miss Carissa Ma organised a sign language workshop on 17 November 2016, hosted by two experienced instructors from the Professional Sign Language Training Centre (香港手語專業培訓中心). Despite their hearing-impairment, the instructors enhanced participants' knowledge of the deaf culture through captivating storytelling and lively introduction of basic vocabulary and communication etiquette.
