Prof Wai-Yee Chan, Professor of Biomedical Sciences and Director of School of Biomedical Sciences, has been appointed Master of the College with effect from 1 January 2017, for a term of four years. Prof Chan joined CW Chu College as an affiliate and was appointed College Fellow, with effect from 12 October 2016.

Professor Thomas Au, College Dean of Students, has been appointed concurrently Associate Master for the period from 1 January 2017 to 31 July 2018. He continues to serve on the Senate Staff-Student Consultative Committee as the College's representative from 1 August 2016.

Prof Kenneth Young, Founding Master and College Fellow, has retired from the University and from the position of Master of the College, with effect from 1 January 2017. He has been appointed Advisor to the Master on an honorary basis, with effect from 1 January 2017 until his term as Fellow of the College expires, i.e., on 7 April 2021.

Prof Wong Suk Ying has accepted the College's invitation to continue as Warden from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017.

Prof Andrew Chan, Prof Evelyn Chan and Prof Sunny Wong have been elected Fellows of the Assembly of Fellows, to assume membership on 1 February 2017 for a term of five years. The election proposal was approved and procedure endorsed by the Assembly of Fellows at its 28th Meeting held on 16 December 2016.

Prof Tjonnie Guang Feng Li has been appointed as Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, with effect from 27 June 2016.

Prof Evelyn Chan has been promoted as Associate Professor, Department of English, with effect from 30 August 2016.

Dr Wong Tsz Yeung, Senior Lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has resigned from the University with effect from 1 August 2016.

Mr Sam Cheung, Project Coordinator, has reported for duty on 2 August 2016.
