The Graduating Class 2017 will leave the College this summer, starting a new chapter in life. To celebrate the graduation of the second cohort and to send them the College's blessings, Prof Wai-Yee CHAN, College Master, hosted a tea reception for them before the final High Table Dinner of the Academic Year 2016–17, also the last High Table Dinner that they would attend as undergraduates, on 18 April 2017. It was a memorable occasion, in which the students mixed and chatted with the teaching staff and their College mates.
The soon-to-be graduates were joined by the guest of honour of the dinner, Ms Amy FONG, together with Prof CHAN and the teaching and administrative staff. This year, the majority of the graduates are from the cohort who joined us in 2013, while a small number are from the founding cohort admitted in the previous year. Students from both years joined the reception. Time flies, and these students have already stayed with the College for four or more years. It was a touching and warm event that will be remembered by staff and students as another special moment in their journey together. Some students recalled the College Orientation Camp and their first communal dinner four or five years ago, and expressed their sincere gratitude to the College for nurturing them and to teachers for their guidance and witnessing their growth over the years. The College is like their second home. The event ended with Ms FONG's and the staff's wishes to the graduating class. The College wishes them every success in the days ahead.
