College Service Team

The College Service Team launched its fifth project entitled 'Understanding Socially Disadvantaged School Youths Through a Social Service Endeavour 2017', which contains several activities, including the recruitment of participants, an ice-breaking workshop, a group leader training day and a summer camp, from April to July 2017. The group leader training and the summer camp will be held later in July, beyond the cut-off date for this Issue of the Newsletter, and will be reported on in the next Issue.

The Recruitment of Participants

In collaboration with Po Leung Kuk CW Chu College (PLKCWC), the Service Team organised a recruitment session on 26 April 2017. The team members introduced themselves and the project, and distributed application forms among Secondary Two and Three students. Some students submitted applications on the spot.

Ice-breaking Workshop

An Ice-breaking Workshop was held on campus at PLKCWC on 3 June 2017 so that the student participants could meet their group leaders before the camp. The students were divided into six groups. In the morning, the Service Team members organised mass games and check-point games. At noon, the groups had lunch together, during which the group members were briefed about some points for attention and given reminders about the camp.

Group Leader Training and Summer Camp

This event will take place after the stop-press for this Issue, and a report will be given in the next Issue.
