The 62nd Graduation Ceremony

The College's 62nd Graduation Ceremony was held on 21 November 2013 at the University Mall. Around 50 Trustees, guests and teaching staff attended the ceremony, as well as some 2,500 graduates and their relatives. Graduates and parents were all smiles, sharing the joy of graduation.

This year, the College was honored to have Professor Tu Weiming to be the Guest of Honor. Professor Tu is currently Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies at the Peking University, Research Professor at the Harvard University, and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. At the Ceremony, Professor Tu shared with attendees his interpretations of the New Asia spirit which he himself respected enormously. He also talked about how to strike a balance between physical and spiritual needs when facing substantial conflicts. Professor Tu's speech was indeed insightful and bound to evoke deep reflections on the value of New Asia spirit.

After the Ceremony, Professor Shun Kwong-loi, College Head, led the Trustees, guests, staff members and graduates to the College Concourse for photo-taking. A tree-planting ceremony was also held at the lawn adjacent to the Ch'ien Mu Library.
