The College's first class of graduates returned to the College campus on 17 November 2016. Dressed in graduation gowns, and joined by families, friends, College teachers and guests, the graduates attended the graduation ceremony, marking a key milestone for the College.
Prof Kenneth Young, Founding Master of the College, officiated at the Ceremony. He spoke of his delight in witnessing the College's development over the years, leading up to the graduation of its founding cohort, and extended his best wishes to the graduates. He hoped all graduates would excel in life, treasuring what they had learnt at CWC, and would continue to support the College.
Miss Certina Chan, on behalf of the Class of 2016, spoke about the building of a community of friendship and love over the years at CWC, and expressed their gratitude to College teachers and staff for providing a place to learn, to socialize, and to grow together with the College, creating unforgettable memories that form an essential part of their university life.
Graduates walked up to the stage one by one and received their certificates from the Master. The Ceremony was filled with applause and touching moments. Participants enjoyed a buffet lunch afterwards.
It was gratifying and delightful to see the growth and commitment of our founding cohort. Once again, CW Chu College congratulates them on their graduation, and wishes them the best in future.
