| Hong Kong Cup All Japan University Student Ambassadors English Programme 2018–19 | ||||||||||

After bidding farewell to Ms Aiko YAMASHITA in early March 2019, the College welcomed three other students of the Hong Kong Cup All Japan University Student Ambassadors English Programme 2018–19 in late March. The programme was organised by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Tokyo) and The Japan News to encourage university students in Japan to explore the dynamism and rich diversity of Hong Kong. The three students, Mr Kunihiro KODAMA, Ms Niina NOMURA and Ms Akino SHIRANE, resided in the College hostel from 22 to 31 March, during which they joined our students in the following College activities: On 23 March, the Japanese students joined a tour organised by the College to the Central Route of the Central and Western Heritage Trail, together with two College Resident Tutors and some College students. They visited historic buildings and sites in Central and learnt about their significance in Hong Kong history from a docent from The Antiquities and Monuments Office. After the tour, they had a dim sum lunch at an old Chinese tea house to experience the local yum cha culture.
On 25 March evening, Niina and Akino enjoyed a workout in a session of Yin Yang Yoga for Beginners. They learnt both Yin Yoga and Yang Yoga, which worked on different parts of their bodies to keep both mentally and physically healthy.
They attended the College communal dinner on 28 March to try home-style dishes and to mingle with College students. |
