The Toastmasters Club Taster Sessions have been organised by the College with the assistance of our student coordinators, to encourage College students to improve public speaking skills through peer sharing of tips on oratory, prepared and impromptu speeches and peer evaluation and support.

A total of seven sessions was held in Term 2, 2018–19. In Session 6, Ms Tessa STEWART, Honorary Advisor of the United College Toastmasters Club, joined as General Evaluator to give feedback to participants. She, on behalf of the College, presented Mr LI Chi Chuen Matthew, one of the student coordinators who is graduating this term, a certificate that appreciated his effort dedicated to the sessions throughout the years.

Seal Engraving Workshop

To introduce students to the art of zhuanke, the Seal Engraving Workshop was hosted on 28 March 2019 by Ms Kady FUNG, the founder of Sealing Stone DIY Studio. Students learnt to arrange Chinese characters into creative patterns and to appreciate the beauty of Chinese characters. At the end of the workshop, everyone successfully made their own personalised name seals.
