To avoid disappointment, Prof. Lung invited the said group of people to sit at the stage and created an exciting atmosphere for the event. She then shared the 13 things learnt from the adventure of a perplexing youth:
1. Do not marry the first person you love, yet you may love the one you marry.
2. Be prepared to say "Thank you. No" to people who admire you.
3. Learn to play, and cultivate some lifelong hobbies.
4. When you are young, start developing long-term friendship with people who feel hungry
for knowledge.
5. The solitude, like staying with only a tree, can be your reward.
6. To play Hua Xin or Guan Ning, it is your own choice.
7. For "Justice", charge! But fasten your shoelaces beforehand.
8. Square and circle can co-exist in yourself provided you are a real master.
9. Tolerance takes precedence over freedom.
10. It is easier to go up the hill than down, to appear in the scene than off, to stay than to
leave, to begin than to quit.
11. Be a lifelong anthropologist.
12. See history and reality with tenderness and respect.
13. Uphold the "Spirit of Independence" and "Freedom of Thought".
To the audiences' astonishment, Prof. Lung delivered an extra 0.5 thing i.e. "In youth, enjoy love, sex and knowledge to the optimal extent. Since the daytime is longer than a night, the search for knowledge should be more frequently". She also autographed her works brought along by the audiences and took picture with them.
