The communal dinner on 21 February 2013 featured Poon Choi Banquet for the Lunar New Year Feast. The Provisional Student Union and other students prepared the programme and games for the special day.

One-Day Tour in Hong Kong

The Provisional Student Union, HALO, organized a Hong Kong One-day Tour on 24 March 2013 (Sunday) to introduce the best of Hong Kong to non-local students of the college. They enjoyed Hong Kong traditional food and travelled around the city by tram.

Inter College Singing Competition 2013

Date: 5 April 2013

Venue: Kowloon Bay International & Trade Exhibition Centre

Participants: Miss Chan Hei Chi and Miss Cha Min Ji

Two students of CW Chu College, Miss Chan Hei Chi (local) and Miss Cha Min Ji (Korean), were champions in the group category in the CUHK Singing Contest. They therefore represented CUHK in the Inter College Singing Competition in April 2013.

Communal Dining on Cultural Nights

Two Cultural Nights were organized by our international students Mr Shaurye Vardhan (Indian) and Miss Pongsarojanavit Peachayaporn (Thai) as well as Taiwanese student Mr Lin Tsz Heng, during the communal dinners on 9 April (Tuesday) and 11 April (Thursday). They introduced their dialects and shared their traditional food to fellow students.

Distribution of fruits

Towards the end of Term 2 of the 2012–13 academic year, the College Master and Dean of Students sent their good wishes and blessings by distributing nutritious fruits to each of the CWC students on 24 April 2013 (Wednesday).
