To facilitate new students' transition to university life, the College has been co-hosting the Peer Mentoring Program organised by the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) since 2014. Each peer mentee receives support from a peer mentor, an upper-year CWC student matched by major subjects and trained by the ILC.

In Term 1, 2021–22, 14 first-year students joined the Program as mentees and they were matched with 7 mentors, most of whom being former mentees in the Program.

A training session was hosted for the peer mentees by Dr Yvonne LOONG, Senior Lecturer of the ILC, on 6 October 2021, while mentors attended a series of training sessions organised by the ILC in October and November 2021. Thanks to the Program, there has been growth in both peer mentors and mentees, from interpersonal skills, effective communication, to making progress in learning. Peer mentors who completed the Program were each awarded a certificate.
