Appointment of a New Election Committee
The Seventh CWCSURC appointed a new Election Committee for the election of the Eighth Student Union of CW Chu College and Non ex-officio Representative of the 52nd Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK. The Committee comprises three members: Mr YE Hai Yu (Year 3, Quantitative Finance and Risk Management Science), Ms TSUI Wing Yuen (Year 2, Medicine) and Ms YUEN Pui Ho (Year 2, Medicine).
Election of the Eighth Student Union of CW Chu College and Non Ex-officio Representative, 52nd Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK
During the nomination period from 14 to 21 November 2021, the Election Committee received seven nominations for the election of the Eighth Representative Council, Student Union of CW Chu College, and one for the election of Non ex-officio Representative of the 52nd Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK.
After the first round of online voting from 23 to 30 November 2021, the following candidate was elected as Non ex-officio Representative of the 52nd Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK: Mr WONG Chung Wa (Year 3, Medicine).
For the election of the Eighth Representative Council, Student Union of CW Chu College, the number of candidates elected in the first round of voting did not reach the minimum required (a total of five Ex-officio and Elected Officers), so a second ballot was held from January 2022. After two rounds of voting, the elected members of the Eighth Representative Council are as follows:
Their term of office is from 1 February 2022 to 31 January 2023.
