Directors of Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department, and Yunnan Provincial Education Department respectively led delegations to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 9 July.

On 12 July 2012, a joint Workshop on Chinese as an International Academic Language in Humanities and Social Sciences among the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Taiwan University (NTU) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was held on University campus.

A delegation led by Prof. Nie Qiuhua, President of Ningbo University (NBU) visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 16 July 2012. During the visit, he met with CUHK senior members and delivered a lecture at Shaw College.

Thirty students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Nanjing University (NJU), and Taiwan Central University (NCU) participated in the 2nd Green Summer Camp under Cross-Strait Green University Consortium. The camp was hosted by NJU and co-organized by CUHK and NCU from 2 to 8 July 2012 in Nanjing.

With the aim to promote cultural exchange with Mainland China, Office of Academic Links (China) organized the 3rd Summer Cultural Interflow Programme for Mainland Students from 8 to 14 July 2012. This year, the programme was extended to Macau in collaboration with University of Macau (UM).

Future Science Park – Dandelion Cross-Strait Business Plan Contest was held in Zhejiang University from 3 to 9 July 2012. The contest was organized by Zhejiang University with the aim of promoting innovation and academic exchange among the students from cross-strait universities. A total of thirteen teams from universities in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau participated in the competition. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) won the Second Prize and there were only two teams received this award.

The 2012-2013 application round is open for application with revised guidelines and application forms.
