Visit of Party Secretary of China University of Political Science and Law
Prof. Shi Yajun, Party Secretary of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPSL), led a 4-member delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on April 26. He discussed collaboration opportunities between the two universities as well as the development plans to cooperate with the Faculty of Law in CUHK.
Prof. Shi met with Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; Prof. Christopher Gane, Dean of Law; Prof. Robin Huang, Professor of Faculty of Law; and Ms Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China). Discussion was held on devising possible plans in enhancing the partnership developments. Next delegates visited the University Gallery and toured around the campus to learn more about the history and development of the University.
Since the establishment of partnership in 2009, both universities have been collaborating in a range of areas, particularly in law. The visit further strengthened the bilateral ties between the two universities, paving the way for further collaboration.

President of National Pingtung University Visits CUHK
A five-member delegation led by Prof. Mike Y.K. Guu, President of National Pingtung University, visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 6 April. The delegation met with Prof. Michael Hui, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; Prof. Leung Yuen Sang, Dean of Arts; Prof. Chen Chien Huang, Director of Centre for the Study of Humanistic Buddhism.
CUHK members gave a brief introduction of the general development of the University, its college system and Faculty of Arts. Both sides shared experience on university management and had discussion on further collaboration opportunities. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and to build up links between the two universities.

Other Important Visits
- Prof. Chao Wei-Liang, Vice-President of Soochow University (Taiwan), led a 12-member delegation to visit CUHK on April 5. The delegates met with Prof. Wong Suk-ying, Associate Vice-President of CUHK and Mr. Raymond Leung, Director of Student Affairs to learn more about the University's effort in student affairs. The delegation also shared ideas and experience of student management with Prof. Thomas Au, Dean of Students and Ms. Melody Lee, College Secretary during their visit to C.W. Chu College.
- Prof. Zou Yajun, Vice-President of Nanjing University, visited CUHK on April 14 and met with Prof. Fok Tai-fai and Prof. Fung Tung, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Associate Vice-President of CUHK. Prof. Zhou was also received by Dr. Michael Chang, Acting Director of Information Technology Services Centre; and Mr. Fung Siu-man, Director of Campus Development to know aobut the management experience of the campus network and campus facilities including student canteens and hostels. Visits were also paid to Wu Yee Sun College to met with College Master Prof. Fance Lee.
- Prof. Hasi Wulan, Vice-President of Shantou University, led an eight-member delegation to visit CUHK on April 18. The delegation met with Prof. Fung Tung, Associate Vice-President of CUHK; Mr. Edmond Lam, Director of Estates Management; Ms. Janet Chow, Director of Institutional Advancement; Mr. Simon Lee, Director of Security and Transport; and Mr. Li Sing-cheung, Acting Director of Campus Development. Both sides shared experience in the management of campus facilities and administration of university resources. The delegates also visitied the campus canteen and laboratory facilities of C.W. Chu College and Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.
