President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Visits CUHK

A 6-member delegation headed by Prof. Li Peigen, President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 4 July 2013 to enhance academic exchange.

The delegates were warmly received by Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Gordon Cheung, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Samuel Sun, Master of S.H. Ho College; and Prof. Philip Chiu, Assistant Dean of Medicine. Both sides took the opportunity to exchange ideas on further collaboration. The delegates next visited the S.H. Ho College to understand the college system of CUHK.The visit enhanced understanding and bolstered the linkage between the two universities.

Delegation from Beijing Normal University

Prof. Yang Geng, Vice-President of Beijing Normal University (BNU) and President of BNU Press led an 8-member delegation to visit The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 18 July 2013. The aim of the visit was to learn more about the development of Chinese University Press (CPU) of CUHK.
 
The delegation met with Prof. Michael Hui, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK to have an overview of the recent development of CUHK. Meeting was held between the delegates and Ms. Gan Qi, Director of CPU for exchange. Through the visit, the delegation gained knowledge about CPU including its history, mission, publications and development. The visit helped strengthened links and enhanced friendship between the two parties.
