MoU in Establishing "The Chinese University of Hong Kong– Shandong University Joint Laboratory on Reproductive Genetics"

Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Prof. Ma Jin-loong, Head of Shandong Reproductive Hospital (the Hospital), Shandong University signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Establishing "The Chinese University of Hong Kong– Shandong University Joint Laboratory on Reproductive Genetics" on 9 June 2013, under the witness of Prof. Chen Zi-jiang, Vice Dean, School of Medicine of Shandong University and Prof. Lu Gang of the School of Biomedical Sciences of CUHK.

 

Based upon the common goal in research and development as shared by SBS and the Hospital, both institutes have decided to tighten and strengthen strategic collaboration by establishing a platform for technology transfer, scientific training, academic exchange, as well as resource sharing and development.  Prof. Chan Wai-yee and Prof. Ma Jin-loong will be the Co-Directors of the joint center on behalf of CUHK and Shandong University respectively. It is believed that the establishment will strengthen ties between CUHK and Shandong University towards a long and sustainable collaboration in Reproductive Medicine.
