The Office organized a China Links Seminar on the "Double-First Class" Initiative and latest developments of national education policy on 13 November.  Mr. Wang Zhiwei, Deputy Director of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Office of the State Ministry of Education (MOE), was invited to give the talk.  Mr. Wang shared information on the nations' latest education developments including the "Double-First Class" initiative, its connected policies concerning globalization strategies as well as the relevance in participation in Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area Plan and the Belt and Road Initiative.  Opportunities and challenges arising from such developments were also discussed. The seminar enabled CUHK members to gain a better understanding about updated policies of MOE and recent education developments.  It also enhanced exchange between scholars and executives in mainland China and Hong Kong, serving as a platform to further linkages.  Details of previous sessions of China Links Seminar can be found here.
