The delegation was warmly welcomed in CUHK. Dr. Du and the delegates met with CUHK Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph Sung, Pro-Vice-Chancellors Prof. Kenneth Young and Prof. Henry N.C. Wong, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of School of Biomedical Sciences, Prof. Helen Meng, Director of CUHK MOE - Microsoft Key Laboratory of Human-Centric Computing and Interface Technologies, Prof. Wong Kam-fai, Director of MOE Key Laboratory of High Confidence Software Technologies (Sub-Laboratory, CUHK), Prof. Kenneth Lee, Associate Director of MOE Key Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine, and Prof. Choi Chi Cheung from CUHK - Sun Yat-sen University Centre for Historical Anthropology.
CUHK representatives gave introductions on recent progresses and Dr. Du took the opportunity to learn more about the teaching and research development of the University. The guests next toured the MOE Key Laboratories, under the guidance of the Directors of the Laboratories, to obtain more information about the projects of the Laboratories.
Dr. Du was deeply impressed by the achievements of the University and the major progress of the MOE Key Laboratories. He expressed that MOE would offer its strong support to the University to strengthen its collaboration with universities on the mainland and its further development in research and education. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and to build up links.
