CUHK Delegation Visits Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai
Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellors Prof. Fok Tai-fai and Prof. Michael Hui took part in an outgoing delegation visit organized by heads of Hong Kong universities to Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces as well as Shanghai from 9 to 14 May 2015. The delegates met with leaders in universities and research organizations as well as government officials.
The delegates visited Ningbo Nottingham University, Zhejiang University, Xi'an Jiao Tong Liverpool University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility to receive updated information about their academic and research developments. The delegation also met with representatives from Ningbo Municipal Government, Zhejiang Provincial Government and Jiangsu Education Department to exchange ideas and enhance links.
CUHK has made a lot of endeavors in developing its ties with counterparts in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai in a broad range of disciplines including research collaboration, student interflow and exchange activities. The visit not only promoted exchanges and strengthened co-operation, but also provided valuable information for CUHK's senior members to gain a deeper understanding of the recent research developments in the regions.

CUHK Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Fanny Cheung Visits Partner Universities in Shanghai and Beijing
Prof. Fanny Cheung, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) visited CUHK's partner universities in Shanghai and Beijing on 15 May and from 20 to 22 May respectively to strengthen academic linkage.
Prof. Cheung paid visit to Fudan University where she met with Prof. Feng Xiaoyuan, Vice-President and Prof. Chen Shiyi, Director of Shanghai-Hong Kong Development Institute to discuss collaborative initiatives.
In Beijing, Prof. Cheung met with Prof. Ye Jingyi, Deputy Party-Secretary of Peking University and Prof. Yi Zhihong, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Renmin University of China to foster linkage in academic exchange activities.
The meetings provided valuable opportunities for the University and its partners in Beijing and Shanghai to update each other on the latest developments and devise plans on various academic strengths, which consolidated existing collaborative efforts and enhanced ties for future cooperation.
