CUEA Happy Hour - The Rock 'n Road for Vocalising and Playing Music by Social Enterprises

As one of the members of the CUHK Entrepreneurs Alliance (CUEA), this Centre has begun co-hosting the “Happy Hour” Talk Series with the related University units and alumni groups since June of last year in order to facilitate the exchange of entrepreneurial information among CUHK members.  The third round of this series was completed successfully and met with enthusiastic feedback.  Among them, one sharing session titled “The Rock ’n Road for Vocalising and Playing Music by Social Enterprises” was coordinated by this Centre on the 30th of last month.

Held face-to-face and online simultaneously, the sharing session was attended by Mr. Javier Pang (Co-founder of WeWah Music and recipient of S.I. Leadership Award 2017-18) and Mr. Kessay Chan (Co-founder of Wai Sing Music and recipient of CUSE Fund 2019-20) with Ms. Irene Ng, the Director of this Centre, as moderator.  What had come across was how music education can be delivered in an innovative way and meet the needs of the grassroots.  It also touched on the journey of kick-starting social enterprises and non-governmental organisations. Numerous students, alumni and members of the public joined this event, and they had a lively discussion during and even after the Q&A session.

To review the aforementioned sharing session and other talks of the “Happy Hour” Series, please visit the website of CUEA at here.  For enquiries about the Social Enterprise Startup Scheme, you are welcomed to contact Mr. Poon of this Centre at 3943 3237 (Tel) or aaronpoon@cuhk.edu.hk (Email).
