Delegation from China Manned Space Engineering Project
Mr. Zhou Jianping, Chief Designer of China Manned Space Engineering Projectled a delegation tovisit The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 11 April 2013 to understand the research development of CUHK and to explorecollaboration opportunities in space engineering.
CUHK warmly welcomed Prof. Zhou and the delegates who met with Prof. Benjamin Wah, Provost; Prof. Xu Yang Sheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and representatives from Faculties of Medicine, Engineeringand Science. In the meeting, CUHK members introduced to the delegation the University's latest research projects inmusculoskeletal system and quantum mechanics.The delegates also visited related laboratories and research facilities, such asAdvanced Robotics Lab, Joint Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering, and Institute of Space and Earth Information Sciencetolearn more about the specific projects.Discussions wereheld in exploring potential collaboration areas.
Mr. Zhou paid visits CUHK to deliver public lectures on China Space Mission in 2008 and 2012. The visit enhancedunderstanding between CUHK and the delegation and strengthened linkage for further development.

President of Zhejiang Normal University Visits CUHK
Prof. Wu Fengmin, President of Zhejiang Normal University led a delegation to visit The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 24 April 2013. The aim of visit was to learn about the development of CUHK and to discuss collaboration initiatives in education.
The delegation met with Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK to have an overview of the recent development of CUHK. The delegates then visited the Faculty of Education where they held meetings with Prof. Alvin Leung, Dean of Faculty of Education and other faculty members for academic exchange. The visit helped established links and enhanced friendship between the two parties.

Visit by Vice-President of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
Prof. Guo Jun, Vice President of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT)led a 4-member delegation to visit The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 25April 2013 to strengthen the relationship with the Faculty of Engineering of CUHK on further collaboration.
The delegation was received by Prof. Ching Pak-chung, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and Prof. Wong Ching-ping, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Lee Tan and Prof. Wong Kam-fai, Associate Deans of Engineering. The delegation visited the research facilities in the Faculty to obtain updated knowledge of the developments and to explore possibility for expanding collaboration. During the visit, Prof. Guo Jun and Prof. Wong Ching-ping signed a Memorandum of Understanding for General Collaboration between the School of Information and Communication Engineering, BUPT and the Faculty of Engineering of CUHK. The visit further bolstered the linkage between the University and BUPT, and scaled new collaboration with specific projects.
