Since the 1950s, a large number of mainland Chinese literati came to Hong Kong, and coupled with the rise of local playwrights and repertory theatres, Hong Kong drama has flourished, performing classic plays one after another. The CUHK Library has collected many rare and precious materials of Hong Kong playwrights such as Yao Ke, Hu Chunbing, Lee Woon Wah, etc. and repertory theatres such as the Chinese Drama Group, Sino-British Club of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre. The collection includes letters, manuscripts, photos, scripts, and publicity materials, etc. These historical materials help us extensively explore the development of Hong Kong drama . The following will introduce several scripts in our collection that are very popular.
