More CUHK Services Will Ask Login with 2FA

With growing cybersecurity threats, the protection of digital data has become a priority of the University.

Enforcing 2-factor authentication (2FA) has been one of the measures to protect all CUHK accounts. Core CUHK systems, such as email, VPN and many staff systems, have enabled 2FA to prevent unauthorized login. Now, we are moving forward to mandating the use of 2FA in other CUHK applications (see the University Information Security Policy).

All CUHK applications that using Central Authentication and Directory Service will enforce 2FA for CUHK staff login no later than Oct 2023. The enabling for students will be before Jul 2024.
