The competition, funded by the Simon Marais Foundation and with the support from the Australian Mathematics Society, is an annual undergraduate mathematics competition across the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to encourage creative mathematical problem-solving among undergraduate students, develop links between academics and promote healthy competition among students and universities.
