| Delegation Visit to Jinan University | |

Led by Prof. Jack C.Y. Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, a delegation comprising Prof. Wai-Yee Chan, SBS Director; Prof. Kenneth Lee; Prof. Chao Wan; Ms. Wing Wong, Director, Office of Academic Links (China); Ms. Samantha Wong, Office of Academic Links (China) revisited Jinan University on 7 November 2011 to discuss issues arising from the joint Ministry of Education (MOE) Key Laboratory on Regenerative Medicine. During the visit, the delegates met with Prof. Jiesheng Liu, Vice-President of Jinan University, Mr. An Hong and Mr. Ting Li, Director and Associate Director of the Office of Technology, Prof. Dongqing Cai, Director of the MOE Joint Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine (Jinan University) and his lab members. After hearing a briefing on the latest development of the MOE Joint Laboratories by Prof. Cai's team, the two parties discussed some operational matters such as the mechanism of information sharing, related communication channels as well as future cooperation plans. The meeting reaffirmed the desire of both Universities to strengthen this collaboration and the goal to achieve MOE State Key Laboratory status for the joint laboratory in the near future. |
