By Ms WU Wing Ki (Graduated in Term 2, 2015–16, Integrated BBA Programme)
In the summer of 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. I am currently working in a real estate investment company and managing its asset portfolio.
The memories of the day I first arrived at CW Chu College are still vivid. I met my lovely, warm-hearted and talented roommates. We then developed friendships with other students from all sorts of backgrounds during our stay in the College. CWC was a great place to make new friends.
The quality of the College teaching staff was excellent as well. I really appreciated the passion and the patience of the staff during my four years' life in the College. I remember when I first met them, they were very enthusiastic and encouraging. I felt that it was really a wonderful place to live and study. Whenever we faced any difficulties in the College, there were always supportive services to help us. For example, in the first year of our study at CUHK, we received study advice on essay writing and counselling service from the College.
Apart from the academic support, CWC also offered insights and instilled hope and optimism for our personal development and empowerment. A range of mentoring programmes, fruitful self-enhancing experiences and relationship building activities were offered to students. We gained various perspectives on and developed essential attributes for attaining achievements in life. I also met my important other half at CWC. We got married in November 2018. We invited our dear College friends and professors, who witnessed our love journey from first glance to first love, to our wedding.
A quote from Michelle Obama, 'Becoming isn't about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim, it is a forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self', is also what I learnt in CWC. Thank you so much again, my alma mater, for all the richness and diversities offered to us.
