- Inheritance and Preservation of Hong Kong’s Intangible Cultural Heritage (Jordan)
- The Aspect of Grassroots in West Island (Sai Ying Pun)
Affected by the social incident, the diversified training activities of this project, which had been originally scheduled for November of last year, was postponed to January of this year. These activities are divided into two parts: (1) professional training - two seminars covering “tour guiding techniques” and “tactics of shooting” respectively; and (2) learning tours - including visits to Sheung Wan and Lung Fu Shan separately as led by professional docents, as well as demo tours pertaining to the two themes of this academic year. The students will soon form groups to play the docent role and take turns to lead the tours for their counterparts. Through such drills, they will practise the presentation skills and review the tour routes to get themselves well-prepared for the tours guided by themselves in June.
To gain more understanding of the I·CARE Hong Kong Cultural Tours Project, you may refer to the tour maps designed by previous participants. As for the output of the last academic year’s project, they are supposedly to be released in mid-April and will be placed at this Centre (5/F, Wong Foo Yuan Building) for free collection by interested persons. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the buildings and facilities on campus are temporarily closed. This Centre will provide more spots for collection after the University resumes normal operation. Details will be announced in due course.
