The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) joined the Summer Research Placement Programme organized by the Office of Academic Links (China) (OALC) in two consecutive years. A group of eleven undergraduate students with nine of them from the Chongqing Medical University (CQMU), China and two from the Guangdong Ocean University (GDOU), China, were arranged to receive training in our School between 29 June and 17 August 2016. The participating students and their supervisors in our School this year are listed as follows:
This is the second year for students from CQMU taking part in the programme and receiving training in our School after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between two institutions in November 2014. We hope this is a good opportunity for our postgraduate students to work with students of the universities in China and Taiwan, and for our school to lay down a solid foundation with the participating institutions for future collaborations.
