| Signing of the MOU on establishing the CUHK – SDU Joint Laboratory on Reproductive Genetics | |

Following the previous mutual visits, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences and Prof. Ma Jin-loong, Head of Shandong Reproductive Hospital, Shandong University signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)-Shandong University (SDU) Joint Laboratory on Reproductive Genetics on 9 June 2013. The moment was witnessed by Prof. Chen Zijiang, Vice Dean, School of Medicine of Shandong University and Vice President of Shandong University, with the presence of Prof. Lu Gang of the School of Biomedical Sciences, CUHK. Upon setting up the Joint Laboratory, Prof. Chan and Prof. Ma will be the Co-Directors. It will provide a concrete platform for tightening the academic bondage between the two institutions through ongoing personnel exchange, research development, scientific training and joint applications for national projects and research funding.
