Prof. Shekhar-Madhukar Kumta, awardee of the "2012 UGC Award for Teaching Excellence", Assistant Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Medicine and Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, CUHK, hosted a seminar on "Interaction for Effective Learning – Integration with cL eL & mL" on 27 February 2013 at the Demonstration Laboratory of the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building. Organized by the Teaching and Learning Resource Centre of Faculty of Medicine with coordination of our Teaching and Learning Unit, this seminar was one of the series that aimed to promote effective teaching resources and interactive teaching practices among the teaching staff within the Faculty. During the seminar, Prof. Kumta shared with our School members his professional experience in using interactive approaches to enhance teaching quality and to facilitate effective learning by students. Prof. Kumta's sharing has been valuable to our School members in terms of strengthening their pedagogical competence, thus allowing us to generate an enhanced teaching and learning environment for both teaching staff and students. |
