Bright Prospects for The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library (CUHK Library)

The New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library (New Asia College Library), one of the founding College libraries at CUHK, celebrated its 50th anniversary on the CUHK campus on 28 August 2023. This is one of the humanities-based libraries on the upper campus. It houses collections on Chinese language and literature, other Asian languages and literature, and the fine arts.

The CUHK Library has a rich collection related to Guangdong and the works of Lingnan literati who made significant contributions to the cultural development of Hong Kong. The Lingnan Collection contains various important literary works and information about the history, geography, economy, society and culture of the Lingnan region. The following are some highlights of the Collection and its associated resources.

What Do You Do at the Library?

I joined the CUHK Library in February 2023 as the Creative Learning Librarian and Faculty Liaison Librarian (Engineering). My primary role is to oversee and manage the Learning Garden & MakerSpace. I work closely with library patrons, including students, faculty and community members, to provide consultation, support and training on the use of various tools and technologies.
