7. Support a Green CUHK – Avoid Garbage Printing

Every day, a tremendous amount of paper is consumed for printing in the campus. However, quite a number of these printouts turn out to be garbage printing, while many of them can actually be prevented if we are more aware of the printing settings when sending out the print jobs.

To avoid garbage printing, please take note of the following guides:

1.       Don't print PDF files directly from a web browser but save them into your disk and print them from Adobe Reader.

2.       Only print materials that are necessarily in black and white.

3.       Edit the document with an appropriate spacing to lower the amount of paper used.

4.       Use duplex printing.

A few steps can make a big difference. We all can play a part in contributing to a Green CUHK. Please always be considerate to our environment! Check out more tips at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/itsc/about/greenit/papersaving.html.

Save the environment. Think twice before printing.
