Training Camp for CUHK Wu Zhi Qiao Volunteer Team

Founded in 2009 and guided by this Centre, the CUHK Wu Zhi Qiao Volunteer Team has been participating and organising numerous projects to improve livelihood of the rural areas in the Mainland.  These projects included construction of pedestrian bridges, survey of villages, and promotion of public health, etc.

To prepare for the upcoming project, the 2017-18 team joined a training camp at the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong - Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village on 6 and 7 April, through which they had understanding of previous bridge-building and livelihood improvement projects.  An in-depth discussion on the details of the upcoming project also took place.  Besides, the team was engaged in various collaboration and problem-solving training to strengthen communication amongst members as well as to build mutual trust and team spirit.

The CUHK Wu Zhi Qiao Volunteer Team will continue paying efforts in the Mainland in terms of developing the community and enhancing people's living condition.
