- A delegation led by Prof. Wang Jie, Dean of the School of Humanities, Shanghai Jiao Tong University visited CUHK on 5 September 2012 to explore collaboration opportunities in arts and humanities. The delegation met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Leung Yuen-sang, Dean of Arts; Prof. Hsiung Ping-chen, Director of Research Institute for the Humanities and Prof. Leung Mei-yee, Director of University General Education. A Letter of Intent on collaboration between Research Institute for the Humanities of CUHK and School of Humanities, Shanghai Jiaotong University was signed during the visit.

- A 6-member delegation from Office of Legislative Counsel, Legislative Yuan of Taiwan visited CUHK on 7 September 2012. The delegates met with representativesfrom the Faculty of Social Science including Prof. Paul Lee, Dean of Social Science, Prof. Tsao King Kwun of the Department of Government and Public Administration, Prof. Chong Tai-leung of the Department of Economics to discuss issues of public administration in Hong Kong.

- A 6-member delegation headed by Gao peiyong, Dean of National Academy of Economic Strategy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 14 September 2012. The delegation met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Wong Tak-jun, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration; Prof. Sung Yun-wing, Chairman of Shanghai-Hong Kong Development Institute and Associate Director of Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies; and Prof. Terence Chong, Executive Director, Institute of Global Economics and Finance to understand the University and explore collaboration  opportunities.

-  A delegation from China Eastern visited CUHK on 26 September 2012. The delegation met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Wong Kam-fai, Director of Centre for Innovation and Technology to get to know the University and its project developments regarding innovation and technology transfer.
