The delegation comprised representatives from various units and organizations from Tianjin including Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Health Department, General Office of Tianjin Municipal Committee, Tianjin Tumor Hospital and Tianjin University of Science & Technology. Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK warmly greeted the delegates and he was accompanied by Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Cecilia Chun, Associate Dean of Education; Prof. Anthony Chan, Associate Dean of Medicine; Prof. Thomas Lee, Associate Dean of Arts; and Prof. Samuel Wong, Associate Director of The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care.

In meeting with the delegates, Prof. Jack Cheng gave a presentation on the academic achievement of the University and its collaboration development with the institutions in Mainland China and Tianjin. Both parties expressed intention to further promote exchange and strengthen collaboration with each other. Mr. Guo Lijun stressed that Tianjin government would offer its strong support to facilitate the University's collaboration and research work in Tianjin. The delegation next visited the Art Museum and toured the campus.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the delegation to gain knowledge of the development of CUHK and nurtured friendship between the two parties for collaborations in the future.
