After the ceremony, the guests attended a luncheon hosted by Prof. Joseph Sung and he was accompanied by Prof. Benjamin Wah, Provost; Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; and Prof. Michael Hui, Pro-Vice-Chancellor. During the lunch, the cross-strait guests joined in for toasts to Prof. Sung. Guests next had a meeting with Prof. Jack Cheng, Prof. Hsiung Peng-chen, Dean of Arts; Prof. Wong Ching-ping, Dean of Engineering and Prof. Poon Wai-yin, Acting Dean of Science to gain a better understanding of the University. They later tour the campus and visited the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science.
