Student Development Portfolio: Recent Points to Note

The Student Development Portfolio (SDP) is a university-wide electronic platform for capturing and presenting students’ Experiential Learning Activities (ELA) under the whole-person development framework namely I·CARE.  It facilitates students’ viewing and choosing of the ELA organised by the University units (UELA), as well as production of reports to showcase their non-formal learning achievements.  The platform also allows the University units to upload useful information and retrieve statistical reports for the sake of planning programmes and allocating resources.

Concerning the ELA Report, this Centre issues a free copy every year to the immediate graduates to better prepare their career development and further studies.  For those who are going to graduate in the 2nd term of 2020-21 (based on the graduate list from the Registration and Examinations Section, Registry), please file the application for the ELA Report here by 31 July 2021 (Saturday).

To ensure that the graduates’ information will be fully incorporated into their ELA Reports, all University units that organise ELA are requested to (1) complete all records of the UELA of its unit in this academic year in the SDP platform by 2 July 2021 (Friday); and (2) upload the participants’ lists of all checked UELA of its unit to the SDP platform by 23 July 2021 (Friday).

Recently, the system of SDP has been enriched with annotations in the form to be filled out with ELA by the University units.  The clearer elaboration of the information collected is an incentive to the units that organise UELA but have not registered as a user of the SDP yet.  For account creation, please visit here to download the proforma and return the completed copy to this Centre via fax at 3942 0937 or email at sdportfolio@cuhk.edu.hk.

More information about the SDP can be obtained from here.  If there is any enquiry, please contact Ms. Hui of this Centre at 3943 3714 (Tel) or vickyhui@cuhk.edu.hk (Email).
