On 25 May, a seven-member delegation of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) led by PVC Prof. Jack Cheng visited Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) to sign an agreement in establishing the CUHK-BIT Joint Research Center for Optomechatronics Design and Engineering between the two universities, and to attend the plaque-unveiling ceremony of the Center.
BIT warmly welcomed CUHK delegation. The delegates, including Prof. Xu Yangsheng, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Helen Meng, Associate Dean (Research) of Faculty of Engineering; and Prof. Yam Yeung, Chairman of Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering met with Prof. Hou Guangming, Vice-President, and representatives from School of Optoelectronics for academic exchange. BIT has been at the forefront of optical system design and processing in China for many years. For the past years, Engineering Faculty of CUHK has been collaborating with School of Optoelectronics of BIT on many collaboration research projects. It is believed that the Joint Research Center for Optonmechatronic Design and Engineering between CUHK and BIT will further promote joint collaboration and development and to facilitate technology transfer of research outcomes. |
