| The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) opened the "Student Achievements in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition 2010" from 10-14 May 2010 in the University Library. This exhibition showcased the award-winning inventions and works of CUHK students in a variety of competitions especially "Challenge Cup" organized in the mainland covering areas from medicine, environmental architecture, urban planning as well as energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The opening ceremony was held on 10 May 2010. Officiating guests included Mr. Andrew Lai, Acting Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, the Government of the HKSAR; Mr. Li Jiyi, Deputy Director General, Youth Department, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and Prof. Henry N.C. Wong, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK.
