| Led by Prof. Anthony Chan, Associate Director of the State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China (The Chinese University of Hong Kong), a total of 17 researchers and students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) participated in the Sino-US Symposium in Head and Neck Cancer from 6 to 7 January 2012. The symposium was jointly organized by the collaborative partners of CUHK from the State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China (Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center) and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
The Symposium covered the multi-disciplinary approach to head and neck cancer management as well as surgical oncology, radiation oncology and medical oncology aspects. Prof. Anthony Chan and Prof. KW Lo of CUHK delivered talks at the Symposium. The participation in this joint event further enhanced understanding among the scholars from Hong Kong, Mainland China and US, and fostered research cooperation and knowledge transfer. |
