With the support from the Li Ka-Shing Foundation, a Center for Christian Studies was established under the College of Liberal Arts at the STU in January 2010. Since then, it has launched various collaborative projects with the Divinity School of Chung Chi College of CUHK at many levels. It is believed that the establishment of CCS-STU-CUHK would further strengthen collaboration between the two parties and promote the development of Christian Studies in South China region.
The delegates also met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lai Pan Chiu, Associate Dean of Arts; Prof. Ho Puay-peng, Director of Architecture; Prof. Lai Chi Tim, Chairman of Cultural and Religious Studies Department; faculty representatives from the Divinity School; Ms. Janet Chow, Director of Institutional Advancement; and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China).
Under the guidance of Rev. Prof. Lo Lung-kwong, the delegates visited the Divinity School to understand the management structure and development of the School and its latest research projects. They also toured the beautiful scenery of the campus.
Through the visit, the delegation obtained more information about the recent development of CUHK. The relation among the three parties was also strengthened, which helped promote further collaborations in the future.
