“Fitness x Mentorship” Scheme: Recruitment

The “Fitness x Mentorship” Scheme is going to roll out three sports items cum services in the second term of this academic year.  Your enrolment is invited.  Details are as follows:

Sports Item Floor Curling Orienteering Running
(and Special Marathon)
Partner Elderly Ethnic minority youth People with intellectual disabilities
Training Schedule

Altogether 3 sessions:
Saturday morning in March 2021

Altogether 2 sessions: Saturday afternoon in March 2021 Altogether 5 sessions: Tuesday evening from February to March 2021; Special Marathon will be conducted on 14 March 2021
Training Ground On or off CUHK campus Training is to be conducted online; Special Marathon will be held at the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section) and
Lung Wo Road
Training Ground 1. To attend the selection interview (timetable vide the enrolment form)
2. To choose only one sports item for participation
3. To attend the briefing session and all training sessions

The “Fitness x Mentorship” Scheme associates “exercising” with “volunteering” to foster a serving heart of students and strengthen their understanding of the community.  Participants of the scheme will be trained with basic skills of a sports item and given chances to partner various members of the community in pursuing sports.  This will allow students to develop regular exercise habit and build up healthy lifestyle.  Above all, mutual understanding between students and the circle of their counterparts will be facilitated.
