CUHK Participates in the 20th Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology

The 20th Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) was jointly organized by CAST and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province from 26 to 27 May 2018 at Hang Zhou. Prof. Wong Kam-fai, Associate Dean (External Affairs) of Engineering and Director of the Centre for Innovation and Technology (CINTEC) attended the meeting on behalf of the University.

 

With the theme of "Reform and Advanced Innovation", the annual meeting brought together over 2500 scholars and experts in related fields to exchange views in national scientific advancement and trend of entrepreneurship and innovation development in universities. Senior officials joining the meeting included Prof. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Che Jun, Party Secretary of Zhejiang and  Prof. Huai Jinpeng, Party Secretary of the CAST. Participants at the meeting discussed the latest research developments and policy in China and exchanged ideas in collaborative efforts of universities in fostering integration and management of innovation and entrepreneurship.

 

CUHK has been participating in this signature scientific annual meeting of CAST since 2012. The event has established a sophisticated academic exchange platform for scientific research experts and scholars from different backgrounds, gathering science and technology elites for future collaboration and development.
