The Office organized a China Links Seminar on the funding policy of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) on 1 June.  Mr. Wang Changrui, Director of Planning Bureau of NSFC, gave a talk for the seminar entitled "Funding Support from  NSFC".

In his talk, Mr. Wang provided information not only on the Foundation's scope of support, funding allocation and development plans, but also on the application procedures and details of various funding projects. Relevant enquiries relating to funding policies were also addressed and answered during the exchange.  The seminar enabled CUHK members to gain a better understanding about the work of NSFC and to explore potential opportunities in joint collaobration.

In view of the rapid and active developments in research collaboration between CUHK and institutions in mainland China, the Office of Academic Link (China) organizes the China Links Seminar on and off to update CUHK colleagues with the latest developments on the mainland including relevant national policies to enhance exchange between scholars and executives in mainland China and Hong Kong, serving as a linkage platform.  Presentation materials for the seminar can be found here.
