A total of 29 executives from Tsinghua University Executive Programme on Higher Education Management visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 18 February. Programme participants met with Professor Wong Suk-ying, Associate-Vice-President of CUHK; Professor Joseph Lau, Master of Lee Woo Sing College; Dr. Lee Chi-ming, Director of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services; Ms. Corinna Lee, Director of Human Resources; and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China) to gain a deeper understanding on CUHK's executive management.
The whole-day visit consisted of a series of lectures, through which participants came to learn about Hong Kong's tertiary education system and operation in such areas as academic links and exchange, personnel management, student affairs. Participants also had the opportunity to visit Lee Woo Sing College to gain knowledge of the University's unique collegial system in Hong Kong.
Tsinghua University has been one of CUHK's major collaborators. Since the partnership establishment in 1985, research and academic collaboration between both universities have been very close, ranging from joint research units to national projects. Both universities are members of Association of University Presidents of China, PINE League, IEEAC and the China-UK Humanities Alliance for Higher Education.
