Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK Prof. Jack Cheng introduced the university to the delegation, while Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Registrar Prof. Billy So gave an introduction on one of CUHK's Focused Areas of Research – Chinese Studies. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Henry Wong, Head of New Asia College and Chairman of Research Committee, Prof. Cheung Wai-man, Chairman of the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics, Prof. Chu Hung-lam and Prof. Yip Hong-ming from the Department of History, Prof. Lin Hui, Director of The Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, Prof. Choi Po-king, Programme Director of Gender Studies, and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Office of Academic Links (China).
After the meeting, the delegation was divided into different groups, each with some CUHK's representatives, to centre around on specific topics. They exchanged opinions and views on overall cooperative strategies, and possible cooperative research projects in the following areas: humanities, history, remote sensing, social sciences, accounting, finance, and gender studies etc. Later, the delegation met with Vice-Chancellor Lawrence J. Lau.
The visit had strengthened academic and cooperative communications of both sides, and laid the milestone for future collaboration between the two universities.
