CUHK Vice-Chancellor Visits Beijing
A delegation led by Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) visited Beijing from 17-19 April to strengthen academic linkage and to discuss collaboration with national museums in Beijing.
Members of the CUHK delegation included Mr. Christopher Mok, Chairman, Advisory Committee of the Art Museum; Prof. Jenny So, Director and Prof. Xu Xiodong, Associate Director of the Art Museum; and Prof. Ho Puay-peng of the School of Architecture. The delegation met with representatives from the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the National Museum of China, the Capital Museum and the Palace Museum. The delegation also visited the National Museum of China and Capital Museum to have a better understanding of the development of the museums.
Discussions were held on the possibility of developing collaboration projects in such as exhibition exchange, joint research and academic exchanges. This outgoing visit of CUHK deepened mutual understanding between CUHK and the museums' representatives. Prof. Sung also paid a visit to Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing. The visit provided the opportunity for representatives from both sides to update each other on the latest developments and enhanced ties for future cooperation.

Associate Vice-President Prof. Gordon Cheung Visits Shenzhen
Prof. Gordon Cheung, Associate Vice-President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), led a 4-member delegation to visit Shenzhen on 16 April 2014 to strengthen academic linkage.
The delegation of CUHK visited Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), the joint research institute co-organized by CUHK, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Shenzhen Municipal Government. CUHK members met with representatives of SIAT to obtain updated information and learn about recent developments of the institute. Meetings were held to exchange ideas on furthering research collaborations.
