Delegation led by Deputy Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, MOE

A delegation led by Mr. Zhao Lingshan, Deputy Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of MOE visited CUHK on 18 September 2012 to understand the development of the University Library. The delegation comprised Vice-Presidents from 9 Mainland institutions. The delegates met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor who gave a brief overview of CUHK. Next they visited the University Library where they met with Ms. Maria Lau, Acting University Librarian and section representatives to obtain more knowledge about the Library operation. Through meetings and discussions, the delegation had a better understanding of the University Library System. The visit also nurtured friendship between CUHK and the institutions on the mainland.

Visit of Director General of Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges, MOE

Mdm. Zhang Xiuqin, Director General of Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges of MOE and Dr. Ai Hongge, Associate Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of MOE visited CUHK on 24 September 2012.  Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Xu Yangsheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK warmly welcomed the guests and introduced the recent development of the University. During the meeting, Prof. Xu gave a presentation on the updates of the engagement of CUHK in Shenzhen. The meetings enhanced understanding and further strengthened the ties.
