  • Welcome to new ICS Constituent Unit—Universities Service Centre for China Studies
    The Universities Service Centre for China Studies (USC) has become a constituent unit of the ICS with effect from 1 April 2013. The USC was established in 1963 and was formerly known as the "Mecca for China Studies". It joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1988 and was renamed the Universities Service Centre for China Studies (USC) in 1993. It is currently led by Professor Chan Kin-man. The USC organizes regular luncheon talks and informal gatherings with the objective of encouraging intellectual exchange among Hong Kong and mainland Chinese and international scholars. The USC also provides library services with an extensive and accessible collection of a great variety of materials on contemporary China.
