The Second Photo Day

After bidding its first graduates farewell in late 2016, the College was pleased to see that the second cohort would soon complete their studies in 2017. These young scholars, including mainly students admitted in 2013 and a small number admitted in the year before, have now completed their undergraduate studies, and have left the College to embark upon various careers or further studies. To record such a memorable milestone and give them the College's best wishes, the second Photo Day of the College was held on 3 March 2017.

The Photo Day was simple but joyful, relaxing and harmonious. Prof Wai-Yee CHAN, College Master, gave a short address, thanking all the students for their contributions towards the College and for the important roles that they had played in its growth and development. Students of the two cohorts, as a part of the CW Chu College family, have established the College's character. Prof Chan reminded students to relish this moment for which they have worked hard for four years. He also hoped that the graduating class would remember their College life, including all their contributions and participation.

A total of 90 participants were present, including members of the graduating class, their families and friends, as well as the teaching staff. The students cherished the opportunity to take photos with their teachers and guests, who have been by their sides every step of the way. These photos capture their merry faces, and also serve as a record of the students' University and College life, bringing it to a perfect ending and representing all the blessings that they received that day.

The College thanks the Third Executive Committee of the Residents' Association for helping to organise the Photo Day. Miss LAI Sik Chin and Miss LUI Hei Ching, Executive Committee members of the Residents' Association, served as the masters of ceremonies of the event. They shared some of the unforgettable moments with the graduating students and acknowledged how they had helped their juniors in adapting to the university life. To add to the festive spirit, the Residents' Association built a colourful balloon bridge as a photo backdrop.

After the photo session, a light lunch was served, during which the students and their guests interacted in a relaxing environment, and they all enjoyed this simple but memorable occasion.
